Having embraced small living and the lifestyle it offers, we came to realise that many people are searching for ways to downsize or create additional spaces on their property but often feel overwhelmed by the options and decisions involved. Our mission is to provide clear and useful information for anyone interested in smaller living.

At Your Small Home, we celebrate creativity and individuality and we bring ideas and resources that will guide you and hopefully inspire you to create the space that works for you and you needs. Every project is unique, we know that, and we encourage our community to think outside the box and make choices that reflect their personal style and values.

We’re not architects, professional designers or builders. We have however co-designed from scratch, worked closely alongside these professionals and overseen the construction of multiple small homes. We've literally brought our ideas to life—knowing what we like and what works in smaller spaces. Trust us when we say, we’ve made a few mistakes along the way and learnt from them. We know that building anything can be super stressful, and a small build is no exception! It can get very overwhelming very quickly and can suck a lot of time out of an already busy schedule. We're here to ease some of that stress by providing trustworthy information and creative design ideas to help spark your own ideas, answer some of those niggly questions and kickstart your own small home adventure.
